Day 20: A Muy Grande, But Muy Bueno, Mistake

Well, it was bound to happen.  Today, I blew it.  For the first time since I started the diet, I overate.  We were out, and I did not bring my pre-prepared food with me.  The kids started complaining, my wife was getting light-headed, and I was weak.  We decided to go to Chipolte.

Now, I was prepared for just such an event, and had prepared myself by thinking of what I would get before I even went inside.  Normally, I would get a few tacos or a burrito, but this time, I went for the salad.  I know, it sounds like a reasonable option, but in the end I still managed to eat too much.  The salad itself was wonderful (I am not sure if this is because I haven't had anything so tasty in a while, if I was just really hungry, or if it actually was good--I think it was a bit of all three).

Anyway, as I was eating, I realized that all the food that I have been eating is kind of bland.  I also realized that something must be working, because I don't remember EVER getting  a salad at a place like Chipolte before.  Interestingly, I not only got the salad, but I liked it, which is even more amazing.  Actually, the only place I have ever gotten a salad and liked it is this place called Cafe Rio in Utah.  The salads there are really, really good, but unfortunately I like this creamy dressing which is probably full of fat and is not authorized by Kristi Approved/Live the Life.  The good news is that Cafe Rio is coming to Northern Virginia (this is probably the best news I have gotten this year); the bad news is that I will have to figure out a way to restrain my desire for just about everything they serve there, which may prove to be a challenge I am not up for.

Must not have been too big of a mistake: you still lost another 3+ pounds this week and an inch and a half, Way to go! Have I told you how impressed I am with your will power and determination? Can't be easy, but keep up the good work.
