Well, I am now almost three full weeks into the second round of my lifestyle, and I think I can officially say that I have hit the Tibetan Plateau. The Tibetan Plateau is the world's largest plateau, with an area of roughly 2.5 million square miles (four times the size of Texas, which means for you Texans out there, the Tibetan Plateau makes "Texas Big" look relatively small).
Of course, the dreaded plateau is what every dieter fears most, but after three weeks, it seems I have hit the big one. Look, I can't lie: I have not been perfect for the last few weeks, and those days I went off the diet I gained a good deal of weight. While most of that weight has come off, I continue to struggle to get back on the losing track. The sad thing is that the weight I am at right now is the exact weight that I always get stuck at when I try to lose weight. While I have never been so successful at a lifestyle as this one, the few other times I have taken dieting seriously, I just can't seem to get past the number I am at.
I really am starting to get at my wits end (which, for those of you who know me, isn't new). I have upped my running a bit to try to burn off a few more calories, but it hasn't helped much. Perhaps the reason whey I am not losing weight is because I am gaining muscle? That may be true, but I don't feel any skinnier or any stronger. Whatever is going on, I am starting to realize that I really need to pick up the weight loss again before I get myself really discouraged. The only question is how?

Keep going! You will feel 10x worse than now if you revert to old habits and gain the weight back. Have you thought about upping your cardio intensity (ie, fartleks, or running faster)? Maybe your body needs a swift kick! Not that you aren't working hard enough as it is...
Keep going! You have the greatest blog! I'm so glad LTL referred us to you. You say the things we are all thinking. (I'm going back and reading your journey from the beginning.)
I can totally relate when you said that after 3 months of saying you would start your diet the "next Monday," you finally did. Just last week I received the final e-mail from the LTL group congratulating me for finishing a program I never started!
But I've started this week... not perfect, but practicing! You are my new hero!
