Today, I got on my scale to weigh myself, and for the first time, I was happy to hop on. In fact, I was so happy, that I got on and off the scale about five times before I declared to my daughter that I was done dieting.
According to the scale, I weighted exactly 101.4 pounds! It was a miracle. In one night, I had lost so much weight that I was going to have to increase my eating to get healthy again! It was interesting, though, because I did not look any better. I went to tell my wife the good news and she said, "I am sure you do, when I weighed, it told me that I was about 65 pounds lighter than last week." She told me she would get a new scale at the store tonight, but honestly, I don't see why we need a new scale. I LOVE the old one!
The best thing was my daughter Maggie, who was in the bathroom when I weighed. She asked why I was jumping up and down and I told her, "I did it! I lost all the weight!" She looked at me, eyes big as saucers, and said, "Does that mean you are off the diet?" I responded, "You mean the lifestyle? Yes, it means I am off the lifestyle." Her only response: "Hurray!"

well...after Emily buys you a new scale...I'm thinking there is money to be made with that old one...lose weight and make some money? That's a lifestyle!
