Day 94: Finding a Lifestyle that Works

"Good habits begin with resisting temptation."  Ancient Proverb

Alright, yesterday was the 10th day of the year, and I was wondering how all of those people out there who vowed to get in shape are doing after just over a week.  If you are like me, you do a great job on the weekdays when you are at work, but then fall apart when you are at home on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.  I am not sure how it is different for those of you at home during the week, but I know that if I kept any kind of sweet or junk food in the house, I would probably go after it during the week too.

Anyway, if you have found, one week into your diet or lifestyle change, that you are struggling, may I suggest you try to Live the Life?  If you haven't tried this diet/lifestyle change, I think you would be impressed with the results.  Seriously, whether you have to lose ten pounds or 80 pounds, it is an impressive weight loss program.  I have done tons of diets, and they have worked--for a time.  The beauty of this plan is that it teaches you a way to eat well that takes all of the guesswork out of the equation.  If you are like me, guess work is my downfall.  I really can't have much flexibility or I make mistakes.  So, if you have any questions about this diet, let me know and I am happy to talk with you about it.

Ultimately, I think the key is to have something that you are doing.  I just don't think you can wing it and be successful (unless you are one of those people that just decides to eat ten hard-boiled eggs every day, but if you are one of them, then you have bigger problems to worry about than your weight!).  So, if you are struggling after a week of trying to change your lifestyle, get out there and find something that gives you clear instructions and takes as much of the guesswork out as possible.  I guarantee that if you don't have to think about it, you will last a whole lot longer than if you are constantly trying to figure out what you are going to do next.

Anyone out there have any great diets they have been on that they like?  I know that I have some friends doing something called the PX7-40D (or something like that!).  What have you had success doing?  Comments are ALWAYS welcome!
