Day 178: A Week of Awesomeness

So, I realized this morning that I have not been posting what I have been eating.  I must have subconsciously stopped doing it because the weekend was not that great.  I will try to start that up again.  It is just hard to do it at the end of the day and I forget--plus, it isn't much fun admitting it when you've blown it.

Back when I was suffering through my first year of law school, my wife made a comment that has always stuck with me.  "You can do anything for a while," she said.  I responded, "Three years is not 'a while,'" I responded.  "That is true, but you only need to get through this semester.  That is only three months, and you can do that.  Plus, as you work through it, it will get easier."  That is how I got through law school, three months at at time (actually, I quite enjoyed law school after that first sememster, so in the end, Emily was right (as usual)).  I have found this same principle to be true of the lifestyle.

In this light, I would like to make an announcement:  I am declaring this first, full week in April "The Week of Awesomeness."  What is this, you ask?  Well, it is a week in which I will be absolutely perfect in exercise and eating.  From today until Sunday morning, I will do nothing wrong.  Now, that does not necessarily mean that I won't eat some bit of sugar or go out to eat.  What it will mean is that there will not be one thing that enters my body without my full and complete consideration of it first.

The Week of Awesomeness is only six days long, I can do anything for six days.  You can too!  Join me in a week of awesomeness and let me know how it goes.
