Alright, so as I mentioned yesterday, I will be dedicating this week to giving out ideas on quick and (sometimes) easy ways to achieve a lower weight when getting on the scale. As you all know, this is it: the Final Week. I have to get as low as I possibly can on Monday, which requires me to think outside the box to get a few extra ounces off before the big day.
Today's suggestion is really a no-brainer. When you weigh in, take your clothes off. Do you know how much clothes weigh? Well, they don't weigh a ton, but they do weigh several pounds. Think about it, you have a shirt, jeans, belt, socks, etc. If you throw shoes in the mix, you are a gonner. Hopefully, you are someone who did your initial weigh in wearing clothes, so you will be in awesome shape when you do your final weigh in without clothes.
Folks, this also includes jewelry. Take off rings, earrings, toe rings, lip rings, tongue rings (and any other rings in strange places), watches and bracelets. All of this stuff weighs something people, and we don't want a "false" reading for the final weigh in.
One word of warning on this one: there is a big difference in what you should have on depending on whether you are weighing in in public or in private. I have a scale in my bathroom, so I can wear (or not wear) anything I want. If you weigh in at a public place, I suggest modesty. Several years ago, my wife convinced me (and it took a lot of convincing) to try Weight Watchers. Weight Watchers requires you to go to this public place and weigh in every week. Of course, I was the only man in the place each week, but I lost about 10 pounds (which I later put back on). It was normal for people to take their shoes off (shoes can weigh a lot, you know). I admit, however, I was pretty uncomfortable one week when I was taking my shoes off while waiting for the woman in front of me to finish at the scale, and she started stripping down. I mean, layer after layer started coming off to the point where I wondered if I should leave the room and give her some privacy (the room was a large gymnasium at a church).
This is not the appropriate way to weigh in. If you don't want to have any clothes whatsoever, that is okay, just don't waltz through some public area while you are doing it.

Seriously. No naked weigh ins in public? I am so disappointed.
Okay. Not really. But I couldn't resist.
