Day 121: Breakthrough

So, this weekend I broke through and got to an all-time low on the weight.  It was really nice to lose almost four pounds this week, especially since I haven't lost anything for almost a month.  I have to say it has been a really tough month, but I am glad that I have gone through it, as it has helped remind me that I can get through difficult times and work through them with the new skills I have gained.

Over the weekend I also got an email from my friend Trish, who was an amazing help to me during my initial 12-week lifestyle change.  As all of you know, I don't normally talk about buying Live the Life on this blog, I usually talk about living it.  Nevertheless, I have to say that when she told me that the diet was going on sale for 50 percent off, I really felt like I had to let people know.

I am a HUGE advocate of Live the Life.  If you follow it strictly, I really think it works.  The food and exercise regimen are great--even if you are already in pretty good shape.  Honestly, I have tried all of the diets out there, and this is the only one that has taught me how to live the rest of my life, not just how to live for a few weeks (hence, "lifestyle" instead of "diet").  So, if you have been dieting for the last month (remember that New Year's Resolution?) and have been see-sawing back and forth or seeing no real progress, you really should think about this diet.  It has worked for people who have needed to lose a lot of weight (like me), and also for people who haven't needed to lose much, but want to look great for that 20 year high school reunion or cruise this spring.

I admit that the diet is not cheap.  Normally, for $150 you would get a book that explains the diet, along with weekly menus and exercise activities.  At 50 percent off, that means you are spending only $75.  Frankly, I used spend $75 every weekend going out to eat.  In addition to the book, you also get weekly emails explaining the exercises (with video demonstrations), have to fill out weekly accountability reports (which are vital to make sure you are honest with yourself during the week), and emails to help support you.  Most importantly, you get the support and accountability from the people that designed the diet.  Trish was my contact, and she was awesome.  She would email me weekly, she read my blog every week, she even reviewed my accountability report and would call or email to congratulate me when I had a particularly great week.  When I had to go out to dinner for a business meeting once, she provided some great guidelines for eating right, and last, but most importantly of all, she recommended my blog to people (which, by the way, you can to!).

But wait, that's not all....okay, actually it is.  I just realized how salesman-like this emails sounds.  Honestly, I am not trying to sell anything.  I am just really impressed with this program, and I am willing to stake my reputation on it.  For those of you who have seen my body change, I think the proof is undeniable that it works.  For those who have not, you will just have to take my word for it.

So, if you are interested, click one of the links to the right to access the Live the Life website and sign up.  If you do decide to sign up, let me know as soon as possible because I may be able to help finagle a little more savings for you (please see Day 36).  The sale lasts until February 21, which incidentally is President's Day.  For you men out there, I can't guarantee you will be as tall as Abe Lincoln if you sign up, but I can guarantee you will be as buff as he was (at least, you will be eventually)!

Awesome weight loss! Next time you are on vacation and can't have your home prepared meals, which restaurants would be most ideal to stay on program? And, what would you eat at those places?
